NAGECO and REMSA Advance Technical Cooperation in Geophysical Exploration

Tripoli, Libya (30 April 2026) NAGECO held a technical engagement with Repsol Exploration Murzuq S.A. (REMSA) in Tripoli, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation in the energy and geophysical exploration sector in Libya. The meeting brought together technical teams from both sides, including experts who joined remotely from Madrid. During the discussions, NAGECO presented its advanced geophysical exploration capabilities, including seismic survey services, data processing expertise, field operational readiness, and the use of modern exploration technologies. The presentation highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality and efficient exploration solutions in complex operational environments. The two parties also explored potential areas of future collaboration, with particular emphasis on operational safety, security standards, and ensuring continuity of exploration activities within licensed areas in Libya. NAGECO further reaffirmed its strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, emphasizing its ability to operate effectively under varying field conditions. The company also showcased its integrated safety and security framework, which includes movement control systems, coordination with relevant authorities, and emergency response procedures, underscoring that safety remains a top operational priority. Both sides agreed to maintain ongoing communication to further explore opportunities for future cooperation and technical partnership in the exploration sector.
