NAGECO and Aiteo Group Discuss Strategic Cooperation in Libya’s Exploration Sector

Tripoli, Libya (27 April 2026) – Representatives of the Nigerian company Aiteo Group have engaged in discussions with the North Africa Geophysical Exploration Company (NAGECO) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of exploration. During the engagement, the NAGECO team delivered an introductory presentation outlining the company’s core activities, technical capabilities, and extensive experience in conducting seismic operations. The presentation also highlighted the advanced technologies and methodologies adopted by NAGECO in the exploration sector, reflecting the company’s commitment to aligning with modern industry standards. The discussions further covered technical aspects of exploration activities and opportunities for enhanced collaboration between both parties in the energy sector. For its part, Aiteo Group provided an overview of its exploration operations and future development plans, following its successful participation in the public exploration licensing round. The company was awarded Block (M1) located in the Murzuq Basin in southwestern Libya, marking an important milestone in its expansion within the Libyan oil and gas sector. At the conclusion of the discussions, the Aiteo Group delegation expressed appreciation for NAGECO’s technical expertise and capabilities, emphasizing the importance of continued communication and knowledge exchange to support the development and advancement of Libya’s energy industry.
